My mom bought a swing for Chesley to have at her house. She isn't the best at reading and following directions, (because she doesn't read them so she can't follow them), so when we arrived for the swings maiden voyage it was kinda interesting. She had tied it in a knot to the scraggliest, saddest, thinnest branch on this pathetic little tree, and the branch had a break in it. It was tilting downward at an obvious angle but she swore it would hold. Then there was the 'knot' she tied. The swing was hanging from what can only be described as a slip knot-with every swing forward the swing got lower and lower to the ground. This picture was taken early on in this experience- and Mom is pretty much holding the swing, and Chesley, up. Thanks Annie! We will probably be doing a little modification before we go for our next ride-but it was a great idea!
