Chesley was an elephant for Halloween this year. She had sound effects and everything. If you asked her what the elephant says she drapes her arm across her face and blows a raspberry. I taught her this one based on a loose translation of how I remember Causey doing it when she was this age. It's pretty darn cute. The whole trick or treating thing was a practice in delayed reaction. She practiced all the way up to the door, then went mute for a good long while, then a couple of good Trick or Treats in the softest voice imaginable and she saved most of those for the walk back down to the sidewalk. At one house when I said, "What do you say?" She looked up into her eys and said, "More, please." Percy never lived in a neighborhood growing up so they did a lot of driving to different places to trick or treat, so he was pleasantly surprised when my mother and I introduced him to the idea of taking a Go Cup with us as we walked
