Baby Shower

Our wonderful friends threw us a couples baby shower last Saturday night at Anna and Andy Smith's house. We had such a great time getting to see everyone and came home with some serious loot. Much to the dismay of Natalie J, I did not open my gifts there, but to keep her from bursting into tears of frustration I opened up a couple for her and then later a few more for some of Percy's family-so when we got home Sunday night it was like Christmas all over again when we opened up the rest! Thanks so much to everyone for coming and for the great gifts- Baby Quinn should be good to go now!

Light Fixture

Does anyone know of a good website to look for light fixtures for a nursery? The painters who painted my nursery broke a blade off of the existing fan/light so my plan to put that on the back burner won't so much work anymore. I have looked at ababy.com, the land of nod, & pottery barn kids- but this gender neutral issue is making it a little more difficult than I had planned. Any ideas will be truly appreciated. Hope to get the pictures from our baby shower posted soon!

Happy Belated Halloween

I just had to post a picture of my pride and joy. I carved this (craft) pumpkin 4 years ago for our tailgate and it only makes it out of the attic for one ballgame a year. I am psycho about keeping it safe bc I spent 3 1/2 of the most painful hours of my life carving that thing. It is made of some kind of rock hard foam material and has held up great for us so far, probably due in part to the death threats I issue to anyone who gets too close and looks wobbly and the fact that it has it's own newspaper lined and stuffed Rubbermaid storage container in the attic that has DANGER and WARNING Sharpied all over it (along with a message to not place anything on top of the containter and a huge X where it actually sits inside the container- like I said--PSYCHO.)I will give Percy some of the credit, he drew the outline and taped it to the pumpkin and without that I couldn't have carved it free hand- so thanks PQ! I forgot to take any pictures this year so these are from last year but oh well. Happy Belated Halloween!
